Privacy policy

Last updated: 15 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how personal and other data may be processed when you use the CLI AI website and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this document.

1. Who is responsible

The project owner and operators of CLI AI act as the data controller within the scope needed to run the website, client software, cloud components of the Service, and related processes (support, billing, traffic analytics).

2. Categories of data

Depending on how you use the Service, we may process, among other things:

  • Account and access. User identifiers, API keys or similar credentials required to authenticate and authorize requests.
  • AI requests and related technical data. Text or other input you send through the client or API, plus operational metadata (timing, volume, errors, client-reported environment details).
  • Usage statistics. Aggregated or detailed metrics (quotas, request rates, device or client version information) where provided by the product.
  • Payments. When you pay through a third-party provider, we process payment references, transaction status, and related billing data; card data is generally not stored on our systems unless required by the chosen method.
  • Feedback. Contact details and message content submitted via the on-site feedback form.
  • Website technical data. IP address, browser and device data, cookies, and server logs as needed for operation, security, and analytics.

3. Purposes

We process data to deliver the Service, enforce quotas and rate limits, protect against abuse, improve reliability, handle user inquiries, fulfil payment obligations, and comply with legal requirements.

4. Cookies and analytics

The site may use cookies and similar technologies for preferences (including language), abuse prevention, and audience measurement.

You can restrict or disable cookies in your browser; some features may not work correctly if you do.

5. Sharing with third parties

We may share data with subprocessors involved in hosting, payments, messaging, or analytics, limited to what they need to perform their role. Some processing may occur at language-model or other cloud providers as part of fulfilling your requests to the Service.

6. Retention and security

Retention depends on the purpose: technical logs, statistics, payment records, and correspondence may be kept as long as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We apply reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

7. Your responsibility

Do not share secret keys, personal statistics URLs, or other account access mechanisms with untrusted parties. You choose what to send in AI requests; avoid including unnecessary personal or confidential information.

8. Your rights

Where applicable law grants rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent, you may exercise them by contacting us through the feedback form with a clear subject and a reply address.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy; the current version is published on this page with an “last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
